Volkmann's canals, also known as Volkmann's canals or Volkmann's canals of the tooth, are a network of microscopic canals found in the dentin of human teeth. They are named after the German anatomist Friedrich Gustav Jakob Henle, who first described them in 1842. The canals are typically located in the middle third of the tooth's root and are connected to
Volkmann's canals are not visible to the naked eye and can only be observed under a microscope.
