Videokodningavkodning
Videokodningavkodning refers to the process of compressing and decompressing digital video data. Kodning, also known as encoding or compression, transforms raw video into a more manageable format for storage and transmission. This is achieved by removing redundant information and exploiting redundancies within frames and between frames. Several algorithms and standards exist for video encoding, each offering different trade-offs between compression efficiency, video quality, and computational complexity. Common examples include H.264 (AVC), H.265 (HEVC), and VP9.
Avkodning, or decoding and decompression, is the reverse process. It reconstructs the original or a close approximation
