Vereringesüsteem

Vereringesüsteem, also known as the circulatory system, is a complex network of organs and vessels that transports blood throughout the body. This system is crucial for delivering oxygen, nutrients, hormones, and other essential substances to cells, tissues, and organs. Simultaneously, it removes carbon dioxide and other waste products for elimination from the body. The primary components of the vereringesüsteem are the heart, blood vessels, and blood.

The heart is a muscular organ that acts as the central pump, rhythmically contracting to propel blood through the circulatory system. It consists of four chambers: two atria and two ventricles. Blood returning from the body enters the right atrium, then moves to the right ventricle, which pumps it to the lungs for oxygenation. Oxygenated blood then returns to the left atrium, passes into the left ventricle, and is ultimately pumped to the rest of the body.

Blood vessels are the tubes through which blood travels. Veins carry deoxygenated blood back to the heart, collecting it from venules that stem from the capillaries.

Blood itself is a fluid connective tissue composed of plasma, red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. Red blood cells are responsible for oxygen transport, white blood cells are part of the immune system, and platelets are essential for blood clotting.
