Urodünaamilisi refers to the study of the dynamics of urine flow and storage within the urinary tract. It encompasses the physiological processes that govern how the bladder fills and empties, as well as the pressures and forces involved. This field investigates the coordinated function of the detrusor muscle (the bladder wall) and the urethral sphincters.

Key aspects of urodynamics include assessing bladder capacity, the pressure generated during filling and voiding, and the efficiency of urine expulsion. Urodynamic studies are often performed to diagnose and manage a variety of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS). These symptoms can include urinary incontinence, urgency, frequency, hesitancy, and incomplete emptying.

Diagnostic tools used in urodynamics include cystometry, which measures bladder pressure during filling and storage, and uroflowmetry, which measures the rate of urine flow. Electromyography may also be employed to assess the activity of the sphincter muscles. The information gathered from these tests helps clinicians understand the underlying cause of a patient's LUTS and to formulate appropriate treatment strategies, which can range from behavioral modifications to medication or surgical interventions.
