Ungesättigung
Ungesättigung is a term in chemistry that describes a state where a substance, typically a solution or a material, can still dissolve or absorb more of another substance. In the context of solutions, an unsaturated solution is one that can dissolve more solute at a given temperature and pressure. If more solute is added to an unsaturated solution, it will dissolve completely. This is in contrast to a saturated solution, where no more solute can be dissolved, and a supersaturated solution, which contains more dissolved solute than is normally possible at that temperature and pressure.
The concept of unsaturation also applies to materials, particularly in relation to liquids. For instance, an
