Tuukka

Tuukka is a Finnish masculine given name. It is primarily used in Finland and among Finnish communities abroad, and is one of several traditional Finnish names that remain in use today.

A notable bearer is Tuukka Rask (born 1987), a Finnish former professional ice hockey goaltender who played in the National Hockey League for the Boston Bruins. Rask helped the Bruins win the Stanley Cup in 2011 and was awarded the Vezina Trophy in 2014 as the league’s top goaltender that season. The name Tuukka thus appears in sports and public life, particularly within Finland’s ice hockey culture, and has gained international recognition largely through Rask’s career.
