Tussisäiliöt

Tussisäiliöt are storage tanks designed to hold substances that may produce or release gases, often to prevent the uncontrolled release of these gases into the atmosphere or to manage pressure within a system. The term "tussisäiliö" is a Finnish word, and while a direct English translation might not be universally recognized, the concept is common in industrial and engineering applications.

These tanks are crucial in various industries, including chemical processing, oil and gas, and wastewater treatment. Their primary function is to safely contain liquids or sludges that can off-gas volatile organic compounds (VOCs), hydrogen sulfide, or other hazardous or odorous gases. By providing a sealed environment, tussisäiliöt help to mitigate environmental pollution, reduce fire or explosion hazards, and control odors.
