Turbokäyttö
Turbokäyttöä refers to the practice of using turbochargers or superchargers to increase the power output of an internal combustion engine. Turbochargers use the engine's exhaust gases to spin a turbine, which in turn drives a compressor that forces more air into the engine's cylinders. This results in a higher air-to-fuel ratio, which can significantly increase the engine's power output. Superchargers, on the other hand, use the engine's crankshaft to drive a compressor directly. Both technologies are commonly used in high-performance vehicles and racing applications to achieve higher power outputs and improved fuel efficiency. However, they also introduce additional complexity and potential reliability issues, such as turbo lag and compressor surge. Proper tuning and maintenance are crucial for optimal performance and longevity of turbocharged or supercharged engines.
