Tulivuorenpurkauksen

Tulivuorenpurkaus is a Finnish term that translates to "volcanic eruption" in English. It describes the phenomenon where molten rock, volcanic ash, and gases are expelled from a volcano. These eruptions can vary greatly in intensity and type, from gentle effusions of lava to violent explosions that can reshape landscapes and impact global climate.

Volcanic eruptions are driven by pressure built up within the Earth's mantle. Magma, which is molten rock found beneath the Earth's surface, rises through fissures and vents in the crust. When this pressure overcomes the strength of the overlying rock, an eruption occurs. The composition of the magma, its gas content, and the type of volcano all influence the nature of the eruption.
