Trithemius
Johann Trithemius (c. 1446–1516) was a German Benedictine abbot, writer, and pioneering cryptographer. He served as abbot of the monastery at Regensburg, where he combined administrative duties with scholarly research.
Trithemius grew up in Thuringia and entered monastic life as a novice at a young age. His
