TransenoyylCoA is a type of fatty acid derivative that plays a role in metabolism. It is characterized by a double bond in the trans configuration within its acyl chain, attached to Coenzyme A. However, if the double bond is in the cis configuration, it requires enzymatic isomerization to the trans form before further oxidation can occur.
