Torchic

Torchic is a Fire-type Pokémon in the Pokémon series. It is the Fire-type starter Pokémon of the Hoenn region, introduced in Generation III (Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald). It is classified as the Fire Chick Pokémon and has the National Pokédex number 255.

Physically, Torchic resembles a small chick with yellow and orange plumage, a short beak, and small wings. It relies on its fire-based abilities and warmth as part of its daily life in the Hoenn regions.

Torchic evolves into Combusken at level 16, which then evolves into Blaziken at level 36. Torchic’s base stat total is 310, with HP 45, Attack 60, Defense 40, Special Attack 70, Special Defense 50, and Speed 45. Its standard ability is Blaze, and its Hidden Ability is Speed Boost in generations that feature hidden abilities.

In the core series games, Torchic is one of the three starter options in Hoenn, alongside Treecko and Mudkip. Its final evolution, Blaziken, is a Fire/Fighting-type known for strong physical offense. Torchic and its evolutions have appeared across multiple games and media, including anime and various remakes, remaining a recognizable part of the Hoenn Pokémon lineup.
