Tootmisjäägid
Tootmisjäägid are the remains of a decommissioned oil shale processing plant located in Estonia. The plant, which produced shale oil, operated from 1920 to 1995. Operating at full capacity, the plant was capable of processing five tons of oil shale per hour. Tootmisjäägid houses large and complex machinery, including a 67-meter-long Kiviter retort used to extract oil from oil shale.
The site was listed as an industrial heritage site by the Republic of Estonia in 2008. Efforts
