Thyssenkrupp AG is a German multinational conglomerate headquartered in Essen. Formed by the 1999 merger of Thyssen AG and Krupp AG, the company conducts steel production, engineering, and industrial services with activities in Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

The business is organized into four main divisions: Steel (Thyssenkrupp Steel), Elevator Technology (TK Elevator), Industrial Solutions (plant engineering and systems integration), and Materials Services (metals trading and processing). The group also develops automotive components and related services.

Elevator Technology operates as a standalone company following a joint venture arrangement with Advent International; TK Elevator provides elevators, escalators, and related services worldwide.
