In analyses, a Termínatelas construction would attach one or more clitic pronouns to a verb, yielding a compact directive that encodes both the action and its affected entities. It is discussed as a thought experiment illustrating how affixation and cliticization could encode complex scope within a single word.

In scholarly discourse, a sentence described as a Termínatelas construction would function as a singular imperative instructing the listener to finish a set of feminine nouns, for example finishing “them” in a stylized language.
