Teildivisor

Teildivisor is a term used in some contexts to refer to a divisor of a number. More specifically, it denotes a factor of a given integer. For example, in the equation 12 = 3 4, both 3 and 4 are teildivisors of 12. The concept is fundamental to number theory and arithmetic.

The set of teildivisors for any positive integer n includes 1 and n itself. Prime numbers, by definition, have only two teildivisors: 1 and the number itself. Composite numbers have more than two teildivisors. Finding all the teildivisors of a number is a common mathematical exercise. For instance, the teildivisors of 6 are 1, 2, 3, and 6.
