Tandemact
Tandemact is a pharmaceutical product containing solifenacin succinate and tamsulosin hydrochloride. It is a combination medication used for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men. Solifenacin succinate is an antimuscarinic agent that helps to relax the bladder muscle, reducing urinary urgency and frequency. Tamsulosin hydrochloride is an alpha-blocker that relaxes the muscles in the prostate and bladder neck, improving urine flow. The combination aims to address both the storage and voiding symptoms of BPH. Tandemact is typically taken once daily. It is important for patients to discuss their medical history and any other medications they are taking with their healthcare provider before starting Tandemact, as it may not be suitable for everyone. Common side effects can include dry mouth, constipation, blurred vision, and dizziness. This medication is available by prescription only.
