Tallmeret

Tallmeret is a town in the Araz regional economic zone of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, which is a part of Azerbaijan. The town is situated on the northern slope of the southwestern end of the distance of the Madagiz Valley and lies on the northern slope of a ravine, from which a perennial river flows into the Tedzhen river to the south.

The name "Tallmeret" is believed to originate from the Turkish word "tal" meaning "hill" or "mountain" and the Persian word "mira" meaning "apricot." This origin suggests that the town is named due to the abundance of apricot trees in the area.
