Sulcusa
Sulcusa is a term used in anatomy to describe a groove or furrow on the surface of an organ or structure. This indentation can vary in size and depth and serves various purposes depending on its location. For instance, in the brain, sulci are the grooves that separate the gyri, or folds, of the cerebral cortex. These sulci increase the surface area of the brain, allowing for more neurons and thus, greater cognitive capacity. The pattern of sulci on the brain is unique to each individual.
In the heart, sulci are also present and contain coronary blood vessels, which supply the heart muscle
