Streptometrid

Streptometrid is a term sometimes used to refer to members of the family Streptomycetaceae. This family belongs to the order Actinomycetales, which are a group of Gram-positive bacteria. Streptomycetes are well-known for their filamentous growth and their ability to produce a wide array of biologically active secondary metabolites, most notably antibiotics.
