Stemmets
Stemmets is a term used in theoretical linguistics to describe a class of morphologically invariant bases that serve as stable cores for inflection and derivation in some languages. A stemmet is defined as the smallest morphophonologically coherent base that participates in multiple word forms, such that the surface forms of a paradigm share an underlying core despite variation in affixation or phonology.
