Sockermolekylära refers to the molecular structure and properties of sugars. Sugars, also known as carbohydrates, are organic compounds composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen atoms. They are characterized by the presence of hydroxyl (-OH) groups and a carbonyl (C=O) group. The simplest sugars, monosaccharides, have the general formula (CH2O)n, where n is typically between three and seven. Common examples of monosaccharides include glucose, fructose, and galactose.
