Sisäplaneettoja
Sisäplaneettoja, or inner planets, are the four planets closest to the Sun in our solar system. They are Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars. These planets are characterized by their rocky compositions and relatively small sizes compared to the outer planets. Mercury is the smallest and closest to the Sun, while Mars is the farthest of the inner planets. Venus and Earth are similar in size and composition, but Venus has a much thicker atmosphere and is significantly hotter due to its runaway greenhouse effect. Earth is unique among the inner planets as it is the only known planet to support life. Mars, often referred to as the "Red Planet" due to its reddish appearance, has been a subject of significant interest in the search for extraterrestrial life. The inner planets are also known for their lack of large moons, unlike the outer planets which have numerous satellites. Their proximity to the Sun means they experience extreme temperature variations and have shorter orbital periods compared to the outer planets.
