Selkähermot

Selkähermot, also known as spinal nerves, are a crucial part of the peripheral nervous system in vertebrates. They originate from the spinal cord and extend outwards to innervate various parts of the body. There are typically 31 pairs of spinal nerves in humans, categorized by the region of the spinal cord from which they emerge: cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sacral, and coccygeal.

Each spinal nerve is a mixed nerve, meaning it contains both sensory (afferent) and motor (efferent) fibers.
