Rockman

Rockman, also known internationally as Mega Man, is a long-running and influential video game franchise developed and published by Capcom. The series centers on the adventures of Rockman, a robot originally designed as a lab assistant by Dr. Light. When the nefarious Dr. Wily steals Dr. Light's robot masters, Rockman volunteers to be converted into a combat robot to stop Wily's plans.

The core gameplay loop of the original Rockman series involves Rockman progressing through linear platforming stages, battling enemies, and ultimately facing a boss robot. Upon defeating a boss, Rockman gains the unique weapon or ability of that defeated robot master, which can then be used against other bosses and enemies. This weapon acquisition system is a hallmark of the franchise and encourages strategic gameplay.

The original Rockman series, which began in 1987 on the Famicom, is known for its challenging gameplay, memorable music, and distinct visual style. Over the years, the franchise has expanded significantly, encompassing numerous sequels, spin-off series, and different genres.
