Redoxných is a term that describes chemical reactions involving the transfer of electrons between chemical species. These reactions are fundamental to many processes in chemistry and biology. The name "redox" is a portmanteau of reduction and oxidation. Oxidation refers to the loss of electrons by a molecule, atom, or ion, while reduction refers to the gain of electrons. Electrochemistry, the study of the relationship between chemical reactions and electrical energy, is entirely based on redoxných principles, with batteries and electrolysis being prime examples.
