Realiteti

Realiteti is the Albanian term for reality. In both everyday language and philosophy, it denotes the state of things as they actually exist or are experienced, as opposed to what is imagined, wished for, or inferred to be true. The word functions as a definite noun in Albanian, used in phrases such as "realiteti i tyre" (their reality) or "realiteti objektiv" (objective reality).

In philosophy, realiteti raises questions about mind and world. Realism holds that there is a mind-independent world that science and ordinary perception can describe to some degree. Antirealism, idealism, and various forms of constructivism challenge or revise that claim, arguing that knowledge depends on theories, concepts, or social practices. Debates cover topics such as the accuracy of perception, the status of unobservable entities, and how much theories reveal about reality versus how much they model it for prediction.

In science, reality is treated as what empirical observation and theoretical frameworks aim to explain. Scientific realism defends the view that successful theories uncover real structures, while instrumentalist or anti-realist positions emphasize predictive power over ontological commitment.
