Ravintoverkostos, a Finnish term meaning "food web," describes the intricate network of feeding relationships within an ecological community. Unlike a simple food chain, which shows a linear progression of energy transfer, a food web acknowledges that most organisms have multiple food sources and are prey for multiple predators.
