Qobiliyati

Qobiliyati is a form of the Uzbek noun qobiliyat, meaning ability or capability. In Uzbek grammar, qobiliyati is used to express possession, indicating the ability belonging to a person or thing. It corresponds to phrases like its, his, or her ability, depending on the possessor in the sentence. For example, uning qobiliyati means “his/her ability,” while maktabining qobiliyati means “the school’s ability.” The construction is common in everyday language as well as in educational, administrative, and psychological contexts.

Morphology and usage: The base word qobiliyat denotes general ability. To show possession, a possessive element is placed before or with the noun, and the form qobiliyati attains the appropriate sense of “the ability of X.” The exact possessive pronoun or noun in front of qobiliyati provides the subject or owner of the ability.
