Usage notes: The term signals a non-permanent arrangement or state and is widely used in official discourse to describe provisional measures, arrangements, or bodies. It is distinct from terms that mean “contemporary” in the sense of belonging to the present era. For that sense, Albanian typically uses bashkëkohore. A related term is provizor, which more directly conveys the sense of provisional or provisional status in formal contexts, such as qeveri provizore (provisional government).
