Pròrrogues

Pròrrogues is the plural form of pròrroga in Catalan, referring to extensions or prolongations of an initial term, deadline, or period. The term denotes both the act of extending the duration and the resulting extended timeframe.

Pròrrogues appear in a variety of contexts. In contracts and procurement, they may extend delivery schedules, project timelines, or payment terms. In public administration, deadlines for applications, permits, subsidies, or regulatory processes can be extended. In education and organizational settings, enrollment periods, examination windows, or project deadlines may be extended through pròrrogues.

Extensions are typically granted by mutual agreement of the involved parties or by a clause, regulation, or law that authorizes an extension. The duration and conditions of a pròrroga are usually defined in the governing document—such as a contract, bidding documents, or administrative rules—and may be subject to specific procedures, limits, or approvals.
