Preko

Preko is a Croatian preposition meaning "across" or "over." In standard Croatian, it is used with a noun in the genitive to indicate crossing or movement over something, and it can express spatial, temporal, or figurative senses. For example, preko mora means "across the sea" and preko mosta means "over the bridge."

Preko is also the name of a town and municipality on the island of Ugljan in Zadar County, Croatia. It sits on the island's northern coast, opposite the city of Zadar across the Zadar Channel. The municipality comprises several settlements, with the village of Preko as the administrative center.
