Polüploidsuse

Polüploidsus is a condition in which an organism has more than two sets of chromosomes. This is in contrast to diploids, which have two sets, and haploids, which have one set. Polüploids can be either polyploid or autopolyploid. Polyploids are organisms that have gained extra sets of chromosomes from different species, while autopolyploids have gained extra sets from the same species.
