Polimerizációról

Polimerizációról is the Hungarian term for polymerization, a fundamental chemical process. It describes the process by which small molecules, known as monomers, chemically react with each other to form large, long-chain molecules called polymers. These polymers are essentially repeating units of the original monomers.

There are several types of polymerization reactions. Addition polymerization involves monomers adding to each other without the loss of any atoms. The double or triple bonds within the monomers are typically broken, allowing them to link together. Condensation polymerization, on the other hand, involves monomers reacting to form a polymer while also releasing a small molecule, such as water or methanol, as a byproduct.
