Pneumokken
Pneumokken is a nonstandard or informal term sometimes used to refer to pneumococci, the bacteria known scientifically as Streptococcus pneumoniae. In formal microbiology and clinical writing, the organism is called Streptococcus pneumoniae or pneumococci, with pneumokokken used in some languages.
