Plöner

Plöner is a German demonym for a person from Plön, a town in northern Schleswig-Holstein. A male resident is called ein Plöner and a female resident eine Plönerin; the plural die Plöner refers to residents in general.

Plön is located in the district of Plön in Schleswig-Holstein, about 25 kilometers southeast of Kiel. The town lies near the Großer Plöner See, one of the largest lakes in the state, and has a population of roughly 10,000. It is known for its historic castle, Schloss Plön, which served as a ducal residence and today hosts a museum.
