Perusoksidin

Perusoksidin is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C7H6O. It is an organic molecule belonging to the class of phenols. Its structure consists of a benzene ring substituted with a hydroxyl group. Perusoksidin is also known by its IUPAC name, phenol.

It is also a key intermediate in the manufacture of bisphenol A, a component of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins.
