Peroksisommalainen

Peroksisommalainen is a Finnish term that translates to "peroxisomal" in English. It refers to anything related to peroxisomes, which are small organelles found in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. These organelles are enclosed by a single membrane and contain a variety of enzymes that perform diverse metabolic functions.

The primary role of peroxisomes is to break down fatty acids through a process called beta-oxidation.
