Peptidoglikánalapú
Peptidoglikánalapú refers to a substance or material that is based on peptidoglycan. Peptidoglycan is a complex polymer consisting of sugars and amino acids that forms a mesh-like layer outside the plasma membrane of most bacteria. It is a crucial component of the bacterial cell wall, providing structural support and protecting the cell from osmotic lysis. The structure of peptidoglycan is a repeating disaccharide unit composed of N-acetylglucosamine and N-acetylmuramic acid, cross-linked by short peptide chains. This cross-linking is essential for the rigidity and integrity of the cell wall.
