Penshaw
Penshaw is a village and electoral ward in the City of Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England. It is located on the south side of the River Wear, approximately 4 miles east of Sunderland city centre. The village is primarily residential and is known for its iconic landmark, the Penshaw Monument. This monument, a replica of the Temple of Hephaestus in Athens, stands on Penshaw Hill and offers panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the North Sea.
