PSLVC51

PSLVC51, also known as PSLV-C51, is the 53rd mission of the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) program operated by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The PSLV is a four-stage launch vehicle designed to deliver payloads into various orbits, including low Earth orbit (LEO), geosynchronous transfer orbit (GTO), and Sun-synchronous orbits (SSO).

The PSLV-C51 mission was launched on February 28, 2021, from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota, India. The primary payload for this mission was the EOS-01 satellite, an Earth observation satellite designed to provide high-resolution imagery for various applications, including agriculture, forestry, and disaster management.

In addition to the EOS-01 satellite, the PSLV-C51 mission also carried nine customer satellites from Lithuania, Luxembourg, and the United States. These satellites were launched as part of the commercial arm of ISRO, known as NewSpace India Limited (NSIL).

The PSLV-C51 mission was a significant success for ISRO, demonstrating the reliability and versatility of the PSLV launch vehicle. The mission also highlighted the growing demand for small satellite launches and the potential for India to become a major player in the global space industry.
