Osamaksetena is a Finnish term referring to a purchase made on an installment plan, where the buyer pays for goods or services over a period of time in several smaller payments. This method of payment is common for larger purchases such as furniture, electronics, or vehicles, allowing consumers to acquire items they might not be able to afford upfront. The seller, or a financial institution acting on their behalf, extends credit to the buyer.

Typically, an osamaksetena agreement involves a down payment followed by regular installments. Interest may be charged on the outstanding balance, increasing the total cost of the purchase. The terms of the agreement, including the payment schedule, interest rate, and any associated fees, are usually outlined in a contract signed by both parties.
