Onmiddellike

Onmiddellike is a historical or regional Dutch spelling variant of the adjective meaning immediate or instantaneous. In contemporary standard Dutch the common forms are onmiddellijk (adverb) and onmiddellijke (attributive form before a noun). Onmiddellike is not used in normal modern Dutch and is mainly attested in older manuscripts or in regional varieties that preserve older orthography.

Etymology and spelling notes: The form appears to be a variant of the same word that later standardized to -lijke in the modern spelling, a pattern seen in early Dutch where affixal endings varied before standardization. The underlying morpheme is related to the root conveying immediacy or directness, but the exact historical development can vary by text or dialect.
