Okoliczniki
Okoliczniki are a syntactic category in Polish that express circumstantial information about an action or a state. They indicate the circumstances under which something happens and can function as the adverbial modifier of a verb, an adjective, or of an entire clause. In Polish grammar, the term okolicznik is often used for the role a phrase or word plays in a sentence, while przysłówek is a traditional name for the word class that many okoliczniki belong to. Okoliczniki can be realized by single words (adverbs) or by phrases, and sometimes by subordinate clauses.
