Nukleoniksi

Nukleoniksi, also known as nucleons, are subatomic particles that are constituents of atomic nuclei. They are classified into two types: protons and neutrons. Protons have a positive electric charge, while neutrons are electrically neutral. Both types of nucleons have approximately the same mass, which is about 1.67 × 10^-27 kilograms, or roughly 1,836 times the mass of an electron.

Nucleons are held together in the nucleus by the strong nuclear force, which is one of the four fundamental forces of nature. This force is much stronger than the electromagnetic force that holds electrons in orbit around the nucleus, but it acts only over very short distances, typically within the nucleus itself.

The number of protons in an atom's nucleus determines its atomic number, which in turn defines the element. The number of neutrons can vary, resulting in different isotopes of the same element. The total number of nucleons in an atom's nucleus is known as its mass number.

Nukleoniksi play a crucial role in nuclear physics and nuclear reactions. They are involved in processes such as nuclear fission, where a heavy nucleus splits into two lighter nuclei, and nuclear fusion, where two light nuclei combine to form a heavier nucleus.
