Nuculanoida

Nuculanoida is an order of bivalve molluscs, a diverse group of marine invertebrates. These bivalves are characterized by their elongated, inequilateral shells, which are typically thin and fragile. The anterior end of the shell is usually longer and more pointed than the posterior end. Nuculanoids are often found in soft sediments, such as sand and mud, where they burrow and feed.

The order Nuculanoida includes several families, such as Nuculidae, Nuculananidae, and Malletiidae.
