NorðurAmeríkufleka refers to the North American tectonic plate. It is one of the Earth's major lithospheric plates, covering a vast area of the planet's surface. The plate includes the continent of North America, as well as parts of the Atlantic Ocean. It extends from the Mid-Atlantic Ridge in the east to the San Andreas Fault in the west.
