Nehiyow
Nehiyow refers to the Cree language, one of the most widely spoken Indigenous languages in Canada. It is an Algonquian language and is part of the Plains Cree dialect group. The term "Nehiyow" itself is the Cree word for "Cree person" or "Cree people." The language is an integral part of Cree culture and identity, carrying historical knowledge, traditional teachings, and a unique worldview.
