MöAAl is a conceptual framework used in certain academic and artistic circles to explore the intersection of memory, artificial intelligence, and altered perception. The term itself is a neologism, coined by interdisciplinary artist and theorist Dr. Anya Sharma in her 2021 publication, "Echoes in the Algorithm." MöAAl posits that as artificial intelligence systems become increasingly sophisticated, they not only process data but also begin to synthesize and present information in ways that can mimic or even influence human memory. This can lead to a subjective experience of altered perception, where the boundary between lived experience and digitally mediated information blurs.
The framework is not a scientific theory in the traditional sense but rather a lens through which
