Mootoriplokk, also known as an engine block, is the central component of an internal combustion engine. It houses the cylinders, pistons, and crankshaft, forming the core structure where combustion occurs. The block is typically cast from iron or aluminum alloys and contains passages for coolant and lubricating oil to flow through, ensuring proper engine temperature and lubrication. These passages are critical for dissipating the heat generated during operation and preventing excessive wear on moving parts.
